How Nikah Scheduler works
A calm, clear path from finding a masjid to holding your certificate.
For couples
- Find a masjid. Browse the directory and filter by state and madhhab. Each listing shows whether an officiant has been verified.
- Start a booking. Choose a service (nikah, nikah with walima, or a pre-nikah consultation) and share both partners' details.
- Record the essentials. Depending on your school, that means the wali (guardian), two witnesses, and the agreed mahr. You can add notes for the imam.
- Pick a date. Request a date and time from the masjid's availability.
- Get confirmed. The masjid reviews and confirms. You pay a one-time booking fee of $20.00 to lock the slot.
- Receive your certificate. After the ceremony is marked complete, both partners can download the nikah certificate.
What the certificate is (and isn't)
The certificate records your nikah: the parties, wali, witnesses, mahr, officiant, masjid, and date, alongside civil-adjacent details for your own records. It is a religious document. It is not issued by any government and does not by itself create a legally recognized civil marriage. If your jurisdiction requires a civil marriage license or registration, you handle that separately.
Officiant verification
Masjids may submit an officiant's license or credential. A person reviews each submission by hand and marks it verified or not. Verification reflects what was submitted to us; it is not a guarantee, and you should confirm anything important with the issuing authority.
